They Stole More Than $500K From Over 100 Businesses. 6 Were Arrested.

On August 10, 2026, law enforcement officers simultaneously executed six search warrants in Maryland and Washington, D.C., as part of an investigation into an alleged organized retail theft ring accused of stealing more than $500,000 worth of merchandise. Investigators said the group targeted more than 100 businesses across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware, with some stores allegedly being hit multiple times. The investigation began in February 2025 following a series of retail thefts in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Authorities said the investigation later expanded across multiple jurisdictions after an Organized Retail Theft Task Force was created in February 2026. Police said the suspects allegedly stole tools, clothing and other merchandise that could be quickly resold. Investigators said some of the stolen merchandise was sold after being specifically ordered by buyers. The six people arrested were identified as 30-year-old Daryl Michael Jackson, 25-year-old Cyan Rocke, 37-year-old Marco Morgan, 31-year-old Tia Courtney, 26-year-old Chyna Parker and 22-year-old Quasaan Parker. During the searches, authorities recovered approximately $20,000 worth of suspected stolen merchandise, including items that still had security tags attached. The defendants are facing enhanced charges under a Maryland law that allows prosecutors to combine thefts committed at multiple stores and locations as part of an organized retail crime investigation. Three of the six defendants are also facing federal charges. Police said all six defendants had previously been arrested. Authorities said Parker faced 11 theft charges in 2023 involving merchandise allegedly stolen from stores in the Oxon Hill area. Those charges were not prosecuted at the time. Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
