A man who met someone through Grindr allegedly pulled a gun after they had sex, robbed him, forced him to withdraw cash from an ATM and stole his vehicle before sending threatening messages warning him not to call police.
On July 29, 2026, a man met 45-year-old John Wolf through the dating app Grindr in Louisville, Kentucky.
According to court records, the two had sex before Wolf allegedly pulled out a handgun and demanded money.
Police said Wolf took the victim’s PlayStation 5 and Meta glasses before forcing him into the victim’s own vehicle at gunpoint.
Once inside, investigators said Wolf ordered the victim to drive to an ATM.
Wolf allegedly forced the victim to pull over and switch seats so Wolf could drive while still armed.
At the ATM, police said Wolf forced the victim to withdraw $300 and hand it over.
Investigators said Wolf then drove the victim’s vehicle to another location before getting out and fleeing with the cash, PlayStation 5 and Meta glasses.
After the robbery, Wolf allegedly sent the victim several threatening messages.
One message read, “Go ahead and call the cops, you’ll be dead before they can ever get me.”
Police said the messages caused the victim to panic and report the incident.
On August 12, officers located Wolf riding a motorcycle.
Investigators said he fled after officers attempted to stop him.
Wolf was arrested six days later.
Court records show Wolf, who is also known as Johnny Lee Juliot, is a convicted felon with previous convictions for first-degree manslaughter and first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 years old or younger.
Wolf pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including kidnapping, first-degree robbery, carjacking, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, terroristic threatening and harassing communications.
He is being held on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on August 27.
