A Massachusetts trafficker who distributed tens of thousands of fentanyl pills along with powdered fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine has been sentenced to five years in federal prison.
On August 11, 2026, federal prosecutors announced that 28-year-old Anderson Ernesto Andujar Echavarria was sentenced to five years in federal prison for his role in a large-scale fentanyl trafficking conspiracy in Boston, Massachusetts.
According to prosecutors, law enforcement identified Andujar in November 2023 as a large-scale drug trafficker who distributed narcotics to undercover law enforcement.
During the investigation, authorities said Andujar distributed tens of thousands of pressed fentanyl pills, powdered fentanyl, cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine.
At the time of the arrests, investigators seized 30,000 blue pressed fentanyl pills and 500 grams of powdered fentanyl from Andujar and co-defendant Freddy Artemio Guerrero Soto.
Andujar pleaded guilty in December 2025 to fentanyl distribution and conspiracy charges. He was sentenced to five years in prison, followed by six years of supervised release, and is subject to deportation after completing his sentence.
Co-defendant Waner Bernabel Presinal was sentenced in June 2026 to five years in prison, while Guerrero Soto was sentenced in May 2025 to 30 months in prison. Carlos Fabal pleaded guilty in October 2025 and is awaiting sentencing.
