A months-long Florida drug investigation uncovered an alleged cocaine trafficking network operating across multiple cities, resulting in 17 arrests, more than 200 felony charges and the seizure of four kilograms of cocaine. Three additional suspects remain wanted.

On August 14, 2026, authorities announced that 17 people had been arrested and three others remained wanted following a months-long narcotics investigation centered in Indiantown, Florida. Investigators said the operation resulted in more than 200 felony charges and the seizure of four kilograms of cocaine, three ounces of methamphetamine, two pounds of marijuana and eight firearms.

The investigation, dubbed “Operation Beneath the Surface,” began in late 2025 when undercover narcotics detectives started conducting drug purchases from Khalil Thompson and Christopher Wilson.

Investigators said Thompson and Wilson appeared to have a steady supply of cocaine, eventually leading detectives to Cecil Trimble, who authorities identified as the alleged leader of the organization.

According to investigators, Trimble operated a car detailing business in Indiantown that allegedly served as a front for the larger cocaine operation.

Authorities said the detailing business inspired the name “Operation Beneath the Surface.”

As the investigation continued, detectives obtained court-authorized wiretaps involving several suspected members of the organization.

Investigators said the intercepted communications and other evidence showed cocaine was being supplied to dealers in Indiantown, Stuart and Port St. Lucie.

Other people were allegedly used to transport cocaine north to the Daytona Beach area.

During one traffic stop, Antonio Honor was stopped while traveling north on Interstate 95 and allegedly found with approximately one kilogram of cocaine.

Investigators also accused Chiquita Adamson of transporting cocaine for the organization, although authorities said she was not caught with drugs in her possession.

According to investigators, Trimble also allegedly used women he was involved with to help facilitate portions of the operation.

His live-in girlfriend was accused of assisting with some drug transactions, while Adamson was described as one of the people used to transport cocaine.

Authorities executed three residential search warrants during the investigation, including two in Indiantown and one in Stuart.

Additional drugs were seized during traffic stops and undercover purchases.

Investigators said the four kilograms of cocaine seized represented one of the more significant cocaine seizures in the Booker Park area of Indiantown.

Authorities estimated kilogram quantities of cocaine were being purchased for approximately $20,000 each before being divided into smaller amounts for street-level sales.

Trimble, Thompson, Wilson and Janarie Jones are among the defendants facing racketeering charges.

Authorities said Trimble was also on federal probation at the time of his arrest.

As of August 14, 2026, 17 defendants were in custody and three others remained wanted.

Investigators said the remaining suspects knew they were being sought and were urged to surrender.

Authorities are still working to determine the original source of the cocaine.

Investigators said at least one shipment was allegedly mailed from another state, while some of the cocaine may have originated in South Florida.
