162 Pounds Of Meth Seized In Three-Year Drug Trafficking Investigation

A three-year investigation into a Tennessee drug trafficking organization led to 16 indictments and the seizure of more than 190 pounds of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl.

On August 12, 2026, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced that a three-year joint operation targeting illicit drug sales resulted in more than a dozen indictments and arrests across Sumner County, Tennessee.

According to investigators, the operation began in August 2023 and focused on a drug trafficking organization accused of distributing large quantities of controlled substances.

On April 1, 2026, investigators executed 14 residential search warrants connected to top members of the organization.

During the searches, authorities seized 162 pounds of methamphetamine, 22 pounds of cocaine, eight pounds of fentanyl, and a large sum of cash.

On June 2, 2026, investigators presented the case to a Sumner County Grand Jury, which returned indictments charging 16 individuals with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Authorities said the charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
